Gamma Linoleic Acid - An Essential Fatty Acid

Borage Seed Oil, Evening Primrose, Rosehip, Seabuckthorn

In my recent studies of how to obtain optimum health for your skin and body, I have come accross numerous studies about the importance of GLA or gamma linoleic acids (essential fatty acids) in maintaining the health of living tissue.

Essential fatty acids are one of the ingredient components The Myrtle Leaf requires in the formulation of every one of our moisturizers, infusions, serums and eye products. However, it is important to take essential fatty acids internally as well as making sure they are in your skin care products.

Two excellent sources for internal consumption are evening primrose and borage seed oil capsules. The Myrtle Leaf uses both of these exquisite oils in many of our formulations but studies show that internal consumption in addition to external application can greatly enhance the positive effects these oils have on the skin.

Another source for essential fatty acids is the fish oils. These oils are available in health food stores in capsule form as well. Taken internally, they have many benefits in keeping the body healthy and strong.

I suggest dropping by your local health food store and inquiring about the above supplements.

At The Myrtle Leaf, we care about your health, both internally and externally. Keeping your entire body hydrated and nourished will undoubtedly lead to a more radiant appearance as you move into the best years of your life!
